Mentoring Goals of the WAM Program
- Encourage more young women to continue their interest in mathematics and science by
taking more math and science courses.
- Increase mentees' confidence levels and help them develop a positive self-image as
they study mathematics and science.
- Introduce young women to possible careers for themselves in mathematics, computing,
and the sciences.
- Provide coaching for young women in achieving their goals in mathematics and the
sciences.
